[What is the Venus transit 2004?]
The Expression VENUS TRANSIT labels a phenomenon when The Earth and The Venus are in a such position on their orbits that The Venus crosses in front of the Sun as seen from the Earth. (The Venus is observable on the background of the Sun.)

The Venus transit is very rare phenomenon. It always occurs in pairs. There is an eight-year lag between two transits of the pair and there is an 105 or 122-year lag between two pairs of transits.

Such transit, the first one of the pair, occurred on 8th June 2004 (from 05:19.8 AM to 11:23.1 AM Universal Time Coordinated [UTC]). These web pages are dedicated to the presentation of the observation of this phenomenon performed at our school.
